Boyin Digital: Pigment Printing and Smart Solutions at ITCPE 2026 Introduction and Background

Digital directly-to-fabric textile printing continues to evolve rapidly, driven by the commercial demands for shorter processing times, reduced operational overhead, and higher chemical stability. As global manufacturing hubs face tighter environmental margins and rising production costs, legacy pre-treatment systems are increasingly scrutinized. In today’s highly competitive textile landscape, the ability to eliminate secondary post-processing steps while preserving flawless, deep fiber penetration has become a critical advantage for vertical apparel printing mills.

At the Guangzhou International Textile, Clothing, and Printing Industry Expo (ITCPE 2026) in China, Behnam Ghasemi, Editor-in-Chief of Kohan Textile Journal, met with Mrs. Dee Dee, Foreign Trade Manager at Zhejiang Boyin Digital Technology Co., Ltd. In this exclusive Q&A interview, Mrs. Dee Dee outlines the engineering behind their high-stability printhead architectures, their targeted low-impact pigment solutions, and why maintaining a flexible domestic production buffer allows agile digital machinery builders to confidently weather geopolitical export fluctuations.

Kohan Textile Journal: Welcome, Mrs. Dee Dee. To begin, could you share a brief overview of Boyin Digital Technology and your specialized focus within the textile landscape?

Mrs. Dee Dee: We are Boyin Digital Technology Company Limited. Our core engineering focus is strictly centered on textile digital direct-to-fabric printers. We have captured a very strong position in this market primarily because we successfully identified and integrated an exceptional industrial printhead architecture based on Ricoh technology. It delivers an incredibly long operational life and deep fiber penetration, which has been rigorously tested and validated by our technical customers across diverse production floors. Consequently, our flagship product configurations are anchored completely by industrial Ricoh printheads.

Kohan Textile Journal: Printhead durability is a frequent concern for high-volume printers. Why did Boyin strategically align with Ricoh architectures for production stability?

Mrs. Dee Dee: We continuously monitor market developments, and we frequently hear feedback from regional factories experiencing recurring failures or stability issues with alternative printhead configurations. That exact market reality is why we specifically select Ricoh printheads. They ensure an extended machine lifetime and maintain exceptional mechanical stability under continuous, high-volume production schedules, preventing costly downtime for our clients.

Kohan Textile Journal: Pigment solutions are gaining massive traction globally. What innovations is Boyin bringing to this specific chemical application?

Mrs. Dee Dee: Pigment chemistry is a massive pillar of our research. Industrial pigment printing demands deep, uniform fluid penetration right through the structural yarn pores of the fabric. Our configurations excel at delivering this precise, high-penetration coverage. This has been successfully verified not only within the domestic Chinese market, but also across highly demanding manufacturing zones in Europe, North America, and South America. We are confident that the future of digital textile printing will lean heavily into advanced pigment formulations.

Kohan Textile Journal: Turnout at ITCPE 2026 has been highly active. What are your observations regarding the visitor profile at this edition of the show?

Mrs. Dee Dee: The demographics at this exhibition are highly international. We are welcoming a massive volume of overseas buyers today. While we are interacting with traditional textile representatives from hubs like Bangladesh, we are also hosting large buying delegations from Central Asia, specifically Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. This geographical diversity proves that this exhibition is expanding its global influence, and we expect Boyin’s footprint to grow rapidly as a result.

Kohan Textile Journal: In our past discussions, we touched upon the value of global export agility. How does Boyin balance its international export target with its domestic market presence?

Mrs. Dee Dee: Maintaining a strong dual-market framework is an absolute necessity. Having a built-in “Plan B” centered around a robust domestic market presence ensures complete corporate stability. It protects your production volume if global trade corridors fluctuate. It matches that classic, practical proverb: “You should never put all your eggs into a single plastic basket.” By securing both an aggressive export pipeline and a highly stable domestic foundation, we ensure continuous growth regardless of external trade climates.

Kohan Textile Journal: Automation, real-time cameras, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are rapidly transforming Chinese machinery. How do you envision AI shaping textile printing?

Mrs. Dee Dee: AI integration is going to assist our industry tremendously. Honestly, the precise parameters are difficult to fully predict right now because AI technologies are advancing at an incredibly rapid velocity—it surpasses what anyone can easily map out. However, we will absolutely witness next-generation, intelligent systems emerging to completely replace legacy manual controls.

Kohan Textile Journal: To conclude, what is the ultimate technical goal for Boyin’s pigment R&D team over the coming cycles?

Mrs. Dee Dee: Our main priority remains focused on maximizing the technical interaction between our machines and advanced ink formulations. Resolving fluidic ink issues is paramount. Currently, many fabric blends and designs still require extensive chemical pre-treatment before they can go under the printheads.

Our ultimate engineering goal is to reach a stage where we can seamlessly print onto any textile substrate completely without pre-treatment. If we can eliminate the pre-treatment phase entirely, we will instantly save massive processing costs, condense production workflows, and sharply reduce labor overhead for our customers. That breakthrough will trigger an immense commercial boom for digital printing.

To achieve this, we are not just working in isolation with chemical ink producers. Boyin closely coordinates its system development directly with our master control board providers, such as Boyuan Hengxin (BYHX). By aligning the machinery architecture, the PM control software, and the ink chemistry simultaneously, we can deliver a complete, frictionless solution for textile manufacturers globally.

Kohan Textile Journal: Thank you, Mrs. Dee Dee, for sharing these exceptional technical and strategic insights with us.

Mrs. Dee Dee: Thank you very much, Behnam. It is always an absolute pleasure.
