Tonello is proud to be part of the new Asahi Innovation Hub in Sri Lanka, an initiative created through the collaboration between Asahi Dyes and Chemicals, Asons and Tonello.
Three Partners Bring Complementary Expertise
The project brings together three complementary perspectives: Asahi contributes its chemical expertise, Asons its deep understanding of the Sri Lankan textile and apparel industry, and Tonello the technology and process know-how needed to translate creativity into responsible garment finishing processes.
This combination of expertise is reflected in the Hub itself. At its heart is the complete Tonello technology ecosystem, built around the principles of the Laundry (R)Evolution: Simple. Digital. Responsible.
Complete Garment Finishing Technologies Under One Roof
With Tonello’s complete range of technologies available at the Hub, garment finishing can be developed through a more integrated approach. Washing, dyeing, laser, ozone, drying and process control can be tested together, allowing manufacturers, brands and industry partners to try different treatments and refine new solutions in a practical setting.
From Experimentation to Industrial Implementation
Bringing these capabilities together also creates a direct connection between chemistry, manufacturing and garment finishing. New ideas can move from experimentation to real processes designed for industrial implementation.
This is where the purpose of the Asahi Innovation Hub goes beyond technology alone: it provides a gathering place for exchange and problem-solving, where different expertise can meet around the same process and contribute to finding better ways of achieving the desired result.
Collaboration Shapes the Future of Garment Processing
For Tonello, this approach reflects a broader belief about the future of garment processing: progress will not come from individual technologies in isolation, but from the way technologies, materials, chemicals and skills are brought together.
