The finisher draw frame offers delivery speeds of up to 1,200 m/min, digital autolevelling and automated cleaning, with claimed reductions in space and power requirements.
LMW Textile Machinery Division has highlighted its next-generation LDF6 S Finisher Draw Frame, designed to improve sliver consistency and productivity in modern spinning mills.
The machine operates at delivery speeds of up to 1,200 metres per minute. Its Duo Digital Auto Levelling and DS-Drafting systems provide control over drafting and sliver uniformity, supporting consistent material preparation for subsequent spinning stages.
According to LMW, the LDF6 S offers up to 25% space savings and up to 8% power savings. The company’s announcement did not specify the comparison machines or operating conditions behind these figures.
Precision drafting and recycled-fibre readiness
The LDF6 S features a shortest scanning length of 1.5 mm for its levelling system, alongside centralised roller setting to simplify machine adjustments.
LMW describes the machine as “Recyclo ready,” with a minimum roller setting of 34.5 mm. This feature addresses the need for adaptable drafting configurations as spinning mills work with different fibre inputs, including recycled materials.

Automation supports cleaning and operation
The machine incorporates LMW’s Smart TR Strip, a programmable oscillating stripper for top-roller cleaning. A smart automatic piecing system adds further automation to the sliver preparation process.
Real-time monitoring is available through LMW Spinconnect 2.0, providing mills with access to machine operating information.
Together, the drafting, cleaning and monitoring features position the LDF6 S as an option for mills seeking higher delivery speeds, consistent sliver quality and more efficient use of production space.
