Turkish textile manufacturer Beybo AÅž has reported significant improvements in productivity, energy efficiency and yarn quality after modernising its spinning operations with machinery from LMW.
In a customer testimonial filmed at Beybo’s production facility in Tekirdağ, Türkiye, Özkan Edin, Technical Manager of the company’s Spinning Division, explained how the investment has affected daily operations and supported the manufacturer’s ability to meet the demanding quality expectations of international apparel brands.
According to Edin, the modernisation has helped Beybo increase production by approximately 30% while reducing electricity and compressed-air consumption by around 20%.
From Dyehouse to Integrated Textile Manufacturer
Beybo’s Tekirdağ facility began operating as a dyehouse in 1987 and has since developed into an integrated textile manufacturing operation.
The company currently operates approximately 36,000 square metres of indoor production space. Its spinning mill is equipped with 27,744 spindles and produces combed cotton yarn for use across the company’s textile operations.
In addition to spinning, Beybo carries out knitting and dyeing in-house, giving the manufacturer greater control over product consistency and quality throughout the production process.
The integrated structure also allows the company to respond more effectively to the requirements of apparel customers that expect reliable quality across repeated orders and production shifts.
LMW Modernisation Reduces Energy Consumption
Energy and compressed air represent important operating costs for modern spinning mills. Improving machinery performance can therefore provide both economic and environmental benefits.
Edin said that replacing and modernising older equipment with LMW machinery had reduced Beybo’s electricity and compressed-air consumption by approximately 20%.
The improvement is particularly significant for a production environment where machinery operates continuously and relatively small efficiency gains can translate into substantial annual savings.
Lower energy requirements can also help yarn manufacturers improve their environmental performance while responding to growing pressure from apparel brands for more efficient and responsible supply chains.

Alongside lower energy consumption, Beybo reported an increase of approximately 30% in spinning production.
Edin attributed this improvement to the automation and high operational performance of the LMW machines.
Automation can help spinning mills maintain more consistent operating conditions, reduce process variation and use available production capacity more effectively. It can also support stable quality across shifts—an important requirement for suppliers working with major apparel brands.
For Beybo, the combination of higher output and reduced utility consumption has contributed to lower operating costs and improved overall production efficiency.

Yarn quality remains a central consideration for apparel manufacturers, particularly when fabric performance, colour consistency and garment quality must be maintained across large production volumes.
According to Edin, the performance and yarn quality achieved with the LMW equipment have contributed to greater customer satisfaction and helped Beybo expand its customer portfolio.

Beybo also highlighted the importance of after-sales support, spare-parts availability and close technical attention throughout the operation of its spinning machinery.
Edin said timely delivery of spare parts following commissioning and responsive service support had helped keep production efficiency at a high level.
For mills operating continuous production schedules, service responsiveness can be as important as the original machine specifications. Delays in technical assistance or replacement components can affect utilisation rates, delivery schedules and customer commitments.

Beybo Plans Further Investment in LMW Machinery
