LMW reaffirmed its commitment to Egypt’s textile industry during Egypt Stitch & Tex 2026, highlighting the country’s continued investment momentum despite the broader slowdown affecting the global textile sector.
During the exhibition in Cairo, Rajesh Jeganathan, COO (Global) at LMW, spoke with Kohan Textile Journal about the company’s presence in Egypt and its outlook for the market.
According to Jeganathan, Egypt remains a promising market for LMW, where the company has maintained an active presence and continues to support textile manufacturers with machinery, technology and technical services.
“Egypt is a promising market for us, and we have always been active in this market,” Jeganathan told Kohan Textile Journal. “At Egypt Stitch & Tex, we are here to present our latest machinery, solutions and services for the Egyptian textile industry.”
LMW Focuses on Technology and Customer Support in Egypt
Jeganathan emphasized that LMW’s approach to the Egyptian market goes beyond supplying machinery. The company is focusing on providing up-to-date technological solutions alongside technical service and customer support.
“LMW supports its customers by providing advanced and updated solutions, together with technical service and support,” he said.
The availability of local support is particularly important as Egyptian textile manufacturers continue investing in new production capacity and upgrading existing operations.

LMW is therefore working closely with its local agent in Egypt to respond to customer requirements and provide support in the market.
Egypt Continues to Attract Textile Investment Despite Global Slowdown
Jeganathan also pointed to the contrast between current global textile market conditions and the investment activity taking place in Egypt.
Despite the global challenges that have contributed to a slowdown across parts of the textile industry, he said Egypt continues to attract significant investment from different parts of the world.
“Despite the global crisis and the slowdown we are seeing in the textile industry worldwide, Egypt continues to receive significant investment from different parts of the world,” Jeganathan said.
For LMW, this investment activity reinforces the strategic importance of maintaining a strong presence in the Egyptian market.
“We are here, together with our local agent in Egypt, to respond to our customers’ requirements in the best possible way,” he added.
LMW’s participation at Egypt Stitch & Tex 2026 reflects the growing attention international textile machinery manufacturers are giving to Egypt as investment continues across the country’s textile and manufacturing sector.
