Biancalani to Showcase AQUARIA® and AIRO®24 at CAITME 2026

The Italian textile machinery manufacturer will present two patented continuous open-width technologies in Tashkent, targeting better fabric quality with lower water, chemical and energy use.

Biancalani Textile Machinery will showcase its latest solutions for fabric preparation and finishing at CAITME 2026, taking place from 8–10 September at the Uzexpocentre NEC in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The Italian machinery manufacturer will focus on two of its patented continuous open-width technologies — AQUARIA® for fabric washing and preparation and AIRO®24 for drying, softening and finishing.

Biancalani will exhibit in Pavilion 1, Booth B62, where its team will meet textile manufacturers from Uzbekistan and across Central Asia together with regional partner Elinmac Tekstil Makineleri Ltd. Şti.

AQUARIA® Targets More Efficient Fabric Washing and Preparation

AQUARIA® is Biancalani’s continuous open-width system for fabric washing and preparation, developed to improve processing efficiency while reducing the consumption of water, chemicals and energy.

The technology is designed for manufacturers seeking to combine fabric quality with more responsible wet processing. Biancalani positions the system as a new-generation approach to preparation and washing in which mechanical treatment and efficient resource use are integrated within a continuous process.

The platform can be used for a range of wet treatments and has also been developed around processes including eco-bleaching and enzymatic biopolishing.

For textile manufacturers facing rising utility costs and tighter environmental requirements, reducing resource consumption during preparation and washing can have a direct impact on both production economics and sustainability performance.

AIRO®24 Combines Drying and Mechanical Fabric Finishing

The second technology highlighted in Tashkent will be AIRO®24, Biancalani’s patented continuous open-width tumble dryer.

The machine uses controlled high-speed airflow to transport and treat fabric, combining drying with the characteristic mechanical AIRO® effect.

This process is designed to enhance characteristics including softness, volume, drape and dimensional stability, allowing manufacturers to improve fabric hand and appearance while maintaining a continuous production process.

AIRO®24 can process a broad range of textile constructions and applications, from apparel and knitted fabrics to upholstery, home textiles and terry products.

Kohan Textile Journal previously examined Biancalani’s approach to low-water textile finishing and the AIRO®24 and AQUARIA® platforms during ITM 2026 in Istanbul.

Two Technologies, One Integrated Finishing Strategy

Although AQUARIA® and AIRO®24 operate at different stages of textile processing, Biancalani is presenting them at CAITME as complementary technologies within a broader approach to continuous open-width fabric treatment.
AQUARIA® focuses on wet preparation and washing, while AIRO®24 addresses drying and mechanical finishing.

By connecting these stages, textile manufacturers can potentially develop production routes aimed at improving final fabric quality while also reducing unnecessary resource consumption and process complexity.

The approach reflects a wider shift across textile finishing, where mills are increasingly evaluating machinery not only by production speed but also by energy efficiency, water use, chemical consumption, fabric performance and total operating costs.

Central Asia Becomes More Important for Textile Technology Suppliers

Biancalani’s participation comes as Uzbekistan continues to invest in the modernisation and expansion of its textile manufacturing industry.

The country has moved beyond its traditional role as a major cotton producer and has expanded capacity across spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing, garment manufacturing and home textiles.

This transformation is creating opportunities for international machinery companies able to support manufacturers seeking higher productivity, improved product quality and more efficient processing.

CAITME has therefore developed into an important meeting point for textile technology providers targeting Uzbekistan and the wider Central Asian market.
