Kapoor Industries Limited has expanded its installed base of Biancalani AIRO®24 finishing machines to eight units across its manufacturing facilities in India.
The repeat investment represents a significant milestone for Italian textile machinery manufacturer Biancalani and strengthens its position in the Indian textile finishing market.
Kapoor Industries is one of India’s established manufacturers and exporters of premium terry products, including towels, bath mats, rugs and bathrobes. The company operates vertically integrated manufacturing facilities in Panipat and supplies international customers, primarily in the United States and Europe.
As Kapoor Industries has expanded its production capacity, it has continued investing in the AIRO®24 platform to support the finishing requirements of its terry product lines.
While an initial machine order can demonstrate interest in a particular technology, repeated investment provides a stronger indication of its performance under industrial production conditions. The presence of eight AIRO®24 machines suggests that the technology has delivered consistent results across multiple stages of Kapoor Industries’ expansion.
AIRO®24 Supports Terry Fabric Finishing
Biancalani’s AIRO®24 is designed for continuous, open-width tumble drying, softening and finishing of woven, knitted and nonwoven fabrics.
The system uses controlled high-speed airflow to move fabric alternately through a treatment channel and against specially designed stainless-steel grids. This mechanical action can improve fabric softness, volume, drape and dimensional stability.
For terry towels, the process is intended to straighten and open the loops while increasing softness and bulk—important quality characteristics for premium bath textiles.
The machine can also provide mechanical softening with reduced reliance on chemical softeners, depending on the fabric and required final effect.
According to Biancalani, AIRO®24 can operate at fabric treatment speeds of up to 2,800 metres per minute and provide evaporation capacity of up to 1,400 kilograms per hour, depending on its configuration and operating conditions.
The platform is available in Single, Duetto, Tandem and Triplex versions, allowing manufacturers to select a configuration based on production capacity and application requirements.
