We are grateful to share that Biancalani has received two awards at the Global Business Awards 2026: Most Innovative Fabric Preparation & Finishing Machinery Manufacturer 2026 – Italy and Sustainability Excellence Award 2026 – Italy.
Recognition like this comes to us every year, and it is never something we take for granted. It tells us that the direction we have chosen – machines that treat fabric well and use resources with care – is valued by people who look at our industry from the outside, too.
Biancalani’s Award-Winning Textile Finishing Portfolio
This direction runs through our whole range of patented machines. AIRO® is an all-around finishing machine for washing, drying and softening any woven, non-woven or knitted fabric, giving the soft, full hand that many finishers know simply as the AIRO® effect. AIRO®24 is a dryer for continuous, open-width tumbling treatments of woven, non-woven and knitted fabrics, while AQUARIA® is a continuous, open-width washing range for any wet treatment of every kind of fabric. Both hold CLIMA Certification and are Industria 5.0 compliant, with PLM system integration. AIRBOX, a continuous open-width (pre)dryer, can work as a stand-alone unit or connected in line with other machines.
Wool is where our story began, and it is still close to our hearts. IDRA, with its independent channels, washes and mills woollen fabrics of different compositions at the same time, each in its own cycle. MILLA is a combined washing and milling machine for all woollen fabrics, woven or knitted. Both use our air-jet system to treat wool without creases or permanent marks, while reducing milling times and consumption.

Behind these awards there are many people. The technicians, designers and engineers who build every machine in Prato. Our TClab team, who run trials on our customers’ own fabrics to show what our machines can do, and who train operators on site once a machine has been installed. And our customers themselves, who over the years have brought us their fabrics, their questions and their ideas, and helped us understand what to improve. Many of the more than 50 international patents we have registered since 1957 were born from those conversations.
These awards belong to all of them, and we thank each one. We will keep working the way we always have: listening, testing, and building machines we are proud to put our name on.
