Strong exhibitor demand is already shaping ITM 2028, with textile machinery companies urged to complete their applications by September 30, 2026, to secure advantageous conditions and protect their preferred stand locations.
Preparations for ITM 2028 International Textile Machinery Exhibition are gaining momentum, with organisers reporting strong demand for exhibition space more than a year and a half before the event opens in Istanbul.
The next edition of ITM will take place from 13–17 June 2028, bringing textile machinery manufacturers, technology providers, textile producers, investors and industry professionals together in Türkiye.
According to the latest announcement from the organisers, sales for ITM 2028 began in June 2026 and applications have been arriving at a rapid pace, causing available stand areas to fill quickly.
Companies planning to participate have been reminded to complete their applications by 30 September 2026 in order to benefit from advantageous participation conditions and improve their chances of retaining their existing or preferred stand locations.
Strong Early Demand for ITM 2028 Exhibition Space
The early level of exhibitor interest reflects ITM’s established position within the international textile machinery industry.
The exhibition brings together technology suppliers covering major stages of textile production, including spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing, textile printing, garment technologies, automation, digital production and related machinery components.
For machinery manufacturers, stand location can be an important part of exhibition planning. Companies often seek to maintain positions established during previous editions, particularly in halls associated with specific technology segments or close to complementary machinery suppliers.
ITM organisers have warned that companies delaying their applications beyond the September deadline may not be able to retain their current locations because of the number of pending requests for exhibition space.
The message indicates that preparations for the 2028 edition are already moving from preliminary reservations toward more detailed floor planning and stand allocation.
ITM 2026 Provides Momentum for the Next Edition
The strong interest in ITM 2028 follows the commercial activity generated by the previous edition of the exhibition. ITM 2026 attracted 48,257 professional visitors and investors from 105 countries, according to the post-show results published after the event. Machinery sales, investment discussions and international business meetings were reported across the five-day exhibition.
Interest in the next edition had already started during ITM 2026, with participating companies requesting space and making early reservations for the 2028 exhibition. Kohan Textile Journal previously reported that the level of pre-reservations was already significant before the 2026 event had concluded.
This continuity is particularly important for large textile machinery exhibitions, where exhibitors often begin planning stand size, machine displays, logistics and technology launches well in advance.
Istanbul to Bring the Global Textile Machinery Industry Together Again
ITM 2028 will once again be held at the TÜYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul.
Istanbul’s location between Europe and Asia gives the exhibition access to textile-producing markets across Türkiye, Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and surrounding regions.
The 2028 exhibition is expected to provide textile manufacturers with an opportunity to evaluate machinery and production systems related to automation, digitalisation, artificial intelligence, energy efficiency, resource savings and more sustainable textile manufacturing.
For technology suppliers, meanwhile, the event offers direct access to manufacturers considering capacity expansion, factory modernisation and new machinery investments.
September 30 Deadline for Exhibitors
The latest ITM announcement places particular emphasis on the 30 September 2026 application date.
The organisers are encouraging companies that intend to participate in ITM 2028 to finalise their applications before this deadline, both to benefit from the available commercial conditions and to strengthen their ability to maintain preferred exhibition locations.
With stand areas reportedly filling rapidly, companies that postpone their decisions may face reduced flexibility when selecting exhibition space.
