As the global digital textile printing market faces intense cost competition, manufacturers are actively searching for high-margin paths to product differentiation. Addressing this market pressure, Shenyang Sky Air-Ship Digital Printing Equipment Co., Ltd. took center stage at the Guangzhou International Textile, Clothing, and Printing Industry Expo (ITCPE 2026) to present its patented, next-generation double-sided digital printing solutions—a technology designed to move textile mills away from low-margin single-sided setups and toward lucrative, custom textile execution.
Brian Sun Unveils High-Precision Hardware and Dual-Belt Architectures
Highlighting the company’s hardware innovations on the exhibition floor, Brian Sun, Overseas Sales Manager at Shenyang Sky Air-Ship, introduced two flagship machines engineered to solve distinct production bottlenecks.
“In this trade show, we have two kinds of machines,” explained Brian Sun. “One is the TDL 1800 Pro Series, which features a special design for the textile industry. Backed by our 23-year patent for double-sided technology, this machine can actually separate into two independent single-sided printers, or it can print completely different media on both sides simultaneously in full production mode.”
Expanding their technical reach into elastic textiles, Brian Sun also unveiled their latest upgraded hardware: “We have an upgraded version, the SDIS 1900 Pro Series. It features an advanced two-belt structure designed specifically so that slightly elastic fabrics can adhere perfectly to the belt. This gives the machine a highly versatile profile for more diversified industrial applications.”
Ms. Wang on Surviving Market Elimination Through High-Value Differentiation
Analyzing the macroeconomic forces shaping the equipment market, Ms. Wang, Manager at Shenyang Sky Air-Ship, delivered a strategic overview of how intense hardware competition is pushing suppliers and factories to seek new paths forward.

“The reality for equipment manufacturers right now is that the market is incredibly fiercely competitive ,” noted Ms. Wang. “To find a true way forward, we must provide our clients with a superior, win-win solution. Our company originally pioneered double-sided printing in the advertising industry to ensure perfect color consistency for outdoor lightboxes whether the lights were turned on or off. When we crossed over into textile applications, we discovered a massive demand for high-end double-sided fabric execution.”
Ms. Wang emphasized that premium digital double-sided printing acts as an essential shield against rapid market consolidation and the mass elimination of smaller mills brought on by high-volume Single-Pass systems. “With the rise of massive Single-Pass production, smaller facilities face shrinking survival spaces. Factories need a ‘two-legged’ operational strategy: you must have raw production capacity, but you absolutely must have differentiation.”
“Our automated double-sided digital printing technology completely eliminates the need for manual fabric flipping and realignment, which slows down efficiency. It achieves flawless, automatic single-pass registration. This allows high-end designers, premium brands, and agile boutique studios to target premium, high-profit segments—like luxury silk scarves, clothing linings, denim, yarn-dyed simulations, and micro-elastic knits—with a one-meter minimum print requirement. Orders can be placed at night and finished garments can be delivered just a few hours later, matching the fast response cycles of modern retail.”
