Trützschler Group has announced the discontinuation of its Man-Made Fibers Division, ending the production of machinery and complete systems for the manufacturing of BCF (Bulked Continuous Filament) and IDY (Industrial Drawn Yarn). The move reflects the company’s strategic decision to concentrate on its core business areas of spinning, card clothing, and nonwovens.
Focus Shifts to Core Textile Businesses
As part of its restructuring strategy, Trützschler will focus its resources on strengthening its established product portfolio in spinning preparation, card clothing, and nonwoven technologies.

The company said production of BCF and IDY machinery has now been discontinued as it sharpens its long-term business focus.
Oerlikon to Provide Service and Spare Parts
To ensure continued support for existing customers, Trützschler has signed an agreement with Oerlikon, which will take over responsibility for service and spare parts for installed BCF and IDY machines and systems worldwide.
Oerlikon, a well-established supplier with extensive international experience in the BCF and IDY sectors, will serve as the new point of contact for customers requiring maintenance, technical support, and replacement parts.
Ensuring Long-Term Customer Support
The agreement is intended to provide a seamless transition for customers operating Trützschler’s man-made fiber equipment while ensuring long-term service availability.
By partnering with Oerlikon, Trützschler aims to maintain reliable after-sales support as it continues to strengthen its position in the spinning, card clothing, and nonwoven markets.
