Trützschler Group has expanded the international customer network for its TRUECYCLED textile recycling technology, adding new reference installations in Bangladesh, Pakistan and the United States.
Announced as the industry marked World Circular Textiles Day on October 8, the latest customers are Akij Textile Mills in Bangladesh, Material Return in the United States and Artistic Denim Mills in Pakistan.
The additions reflect growing interest in technologies capable of transforming pre-consumer and post-consumer textile waste into secondary fibres suitable for producing new yarns.
TRUECYCLED Connects Recycling With Spinning Preparation
TRUECYCLED is Trützschler’s integrated solution for the mechanical recycling and spinning preparation of textile waste.
The process can cover cutting and tearing textile waste, opening, cleaning and blending the recovered fibres, carding and drawing the resulting material before it enters the spinning process.
One of the main technical challenges in mechanical textile recycling is the loss of fibre length. Cutting and tearing fabrics create fibres that are generally shorter and more variable than virgin raw materials. Unopened yarn and fabric particles can also remain in the material stream.
If these secondary fibres undergo overly aggressive processing, additional fibre damage can reduce usable yield and make it more difficult to produce stable, homogeneous yarn.
Trützschler addresses this challenge by coordinating the tearing and spinning-preparation stages. Machine settings and process configurations are selected to limit unnecessary fibre shortening while ensuring that the recovered material is sufficiently opened, cleaned and blended.
A typical TRUECYCLED line can incorporate Trützschler’s BO-P bale opener, SP-MF separator, MX-U10 mixer, CL-X cleaner, TC 30Ri recycling card and IDF 3 integrated draw frame.
The TC 30Ri card has been designed for the gentle but effective treatment of recycled materials, while the IDF 3 supports a shortened drafting process suited to fibre mixtures containing a high proportion of short fibres.

Reference Network Expands Across Three Continents
Trützschler’s three latest reference customers extend the TRUECYCLED network across major textile-producing and recycling markets.
Akij Textile Mills represents Bangladesh, one of the world’s largest textile and garment manufacturing centres. Artistic Denim Mills adds another reference in Pakistan, a country with a large cotton, denim and apparel value chain.
Material Return, based in North Carolina, specialises in converting textile waste from manufacturers and brands into new yarns containing recycled fibres. It is identified by Trützschler as the first TRUECYCLED reference customer in the United States.
According to Trützschler, its TRUECYCLED reference customers produce yarns containing more than 25% textile hard waste. The exact proportion of recycled material achievable in a yarn depends on factors including fibre type, waste quality, tearing intensity, yarn specification and the selected spinning process.

The company’s wider reference network already includes yarn manufacturers in markets such as Türkiye and India.
For textile-to-textile recycling to move beyond pilot projects, manufacturers must be able to process waste consistently and produce yarn at a quality level suitable for commercial applications. This makes spinning preparation a critical link between recovered textile waste and the production of new fabrics.
By expanding the TRUECYCLED reference network, Trützschler is positioning its coordinated recycling and spinning-preparation technologies as one route towards increasing the industrial use of secondary textile fibres.
