Pakistan-based denim manufacturer Artistic Denim Mills (ADM) has been awarded the TRUECYCLED certificate by Trützschler, recognising the company’s implementation of advanced textile recycling processes in spinning preparation.
Established in 1993 and headquartered in Karachi, Artistic Denim Mills is one of Pakistan’s leading denim manufacturers, with operations covering multiple stages of the textile value chain, from spinning preparation through to garment manufacturing.
The TRUECYCLED certification highlights ADM’s efforts to make textile recycling processes more transparent, measurable and consistent while increasing the use of recycled fibres in denim production.
At its recycling facility, ADM combines Trützschler spinning preparation machinery with textile recycling technologies to manufacture rotor and ring yarns containing 30% recycled denim fibres and 70% virgin Pakistani cotton.
According to Trützschler, the resulting yarns are produced in counts ranging from Ne 6 to Ne 30 and are used to manufacture durable, high-quality denim fabrics.

Turning Denim Waste Into New Yarn
TRUECYCLED is Trützschler’s solution for processing textile waste and secondary fibres through the spinning preparation process. The concept covers key stages including opening, cleaning, carding and drawing, with the objective of maintaining stable processes and achieving consistent yarn quality when working with recycled material.
The increasing use of mechanically recycled textile fibres presents technical challenges for spinning mills, particularly because recycled fibres are typically shorter and more variable than virgin fibres. Effective preparation therefore plays an important role in maintaining yarn quality and enabling manufacturers to increase recycled fibre content.
For Artistic Denim Mills, achieving TRUECYCLED certification represents another step towards integrating circular production principles into its denim manufacturing operations.

Scaling Textile-to-Textile Recycling in Denim
The development also reflects a broader shift across the global denim industry, where manufacturers are investing in technologies that can transform pre- and post-industrial textile waste into usable raw materials while reducing dependence on virgin resources.
By combining recycled denim fibres with locally sourced Pakistani cotton, ADM aims to maintain the performance and durability required for denim fabrics while increasing the share of recycled material in its production process.
The TRUECYCLED certification further demonstrates how cooperation between textile machinery manufacturers and denim producers can help scale textile-to-textile recycling from waste preparation to commercially viable yarn production.
