Uzbekistan’s Textile Exports Reach $1.7 Billion in First Eight Months of 2025

Uzbekistan exported textile products worth $1.7 billion in the first eight months of 2025, according to the National Statistics Committee. This figure represents 7.3 percent of the country’s total exports, underlining the strategic role of the textile and apparel industry in the national economy.

Rising Production and Industrial Contribution

From January to August, Uzbekistan’s textile output was valued at 58.5 trillion soums (around $4.84 billion), a 6.3 percent increase year-on-year. Textile production accounted for 8.9 percent of total industrial output, demonstrating the sector’s growing weight in Uzbekistan’s overall manufacturing base.

Foreign Trade Turnover Shows Strong Growth

Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover reached $51.4 billion in the January–August period, reflecting a 19.8 percent year-on-year increase. The textile sector remains a key driver of exports, supported by investment in production capacity and increasing global demand for Uzbek-made textiles.
