Uzbekistan Strengthens Global Textile Presence at Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris

Uzbekistan continued its efforts to strengthen its position in the international textile and apparel market with a national presence at Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris, held from August 31 to September 2, 2026.

The country participated through the Made in Uzbekistan national pavilion, organised with the support of Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of the Light Industry. The pavilion provided a platform to present the capabilities and growing international ambitions of the Uzbek textile industry to buyers, sourcing professionals and other industry stakeholders.

Made in Uzbekistan Connects with Global Buyers in Paris

Participation in the Paris event forms part of Uzbekistan’s broader strategy to expand textile and apparel exports and deepen its integration into global supply chains. International exhibitions such as Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris provide Uzbek manufacturers with opportunities to connect directly with potential buyers, explore new export markets and establish long-term business partnerships.

Uzbekistan Moves Toward Higher-Value Textile Production

Uzbekistan has been working to move its textile industry further towards higher-value production, with increasing emphasis on finished textiles and apparel alongside its established cotton and yarn sectors. Greater international exposure is expected to support this transition by connecting domestic producers with global brands, retailers and sourcing companies.

The national pavilion in Paris also served as a platform for promoting Uzbekistan as a potential destination for textile investment and manufacturing partnerships. Meetings held during the exhibition offered opportunities to develop business networks, discuss potential cooperation and increase the visibility of Uzbek-made textile products in international markets.
