Uzbekistan Strengthens Textile Ties with Denizli During High-Level Visit

The Denizli Chamber of Commerce (DTO) hosted Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Ankara, Ilkhom Khaydarov, along with an official delegation and leading Uzbek business representatives, in a series of meetings aimed at fostering new trade and investment opportunities across multiple sectors – with a strong focus on textiles.

The delegation, which included officials from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Labor, the Textile Industry Association, the Namangan Free Economic Zone, and executives from companies such as Bunyodkor Tekstil and Yustex, held discussions with DTO Chairman Uğur Erdoğan and member companies. The program featured presentations, B2B sessions, and in-depth exchanges on potential collaborations in production, investment, and market development.

As part of the visit, the Uzbek delegation toured key textile enterprises in Denizli, including Menekşe Tekstil and Dok-San Tekstil, where they gained first-hand insights into the region’s advanced textile infrastructure and production capabilities. Company leaders shared their experiences, highlighting Denizli’s role as one of Türkiye’s most dynamic hubs for weaving and textile innovation.

The meetings underscored Uzbekistan’s growing interest in strengthening cooperation with Türkiye’s textile industry, particularly in areas such as yarn production, fabric innovation, and sustainable manufacturing practices. DTO emphasized its commitment to facilitating international partnerships that expand market reach for its members while supporting Uzbekistan’s efforts to modernize and diversify its textile sector.

The high-level engagement between Denizli and Uzbekistan reflects the accelerating regional momentum for cross-border partnerships in textiles and apparel, signaling new avenues of growth for both industries.

Kohan Textile Journal will continue to follow developments between Türkiye and Uzbekistan as the two countries deepen their collaboration in textiles and related industries.
