China Texmatech Targets Global Textile Growth Through Automation and Sustainable Manufacturing

At ITM 2026, Kohan Textile Journal interviewed Peter from China Texmatech Co. Ltd. (CTMTC), one of China’s leading state-owned suppliers of textile technologies. During the interview, he discussed the company’s global strategy, Türkiye’s importance as a gateway market, the growing demand for automation, and why Egypt is emerging as an important textile manufacturing destination.

Could you introduce China Texmatech and its background?

Peter: China Texmatech Co. Ltd. (CTMTC) is a 100% state-owned company established in 1984. We provide complete solutions for the textile industry, supplying technologies, engineering services, and machinery for customers around the world.
Our goal is to deliver integrated textile solutions rather than individual machines.

What products does your company offer?

Peter: Our portfolio covers almost every segment of textile manufacturing. We supply machinery for cotton spinning, chemical fiber production, nonwovens, and many other textile applications.

At ITM 2026 we are mainly introducing our technologies and capabilities through meetings with customers and technical discussions.

Why is the Turkish market important for China Texmatech?

Peter: As a global company, we aim to serve customers worldwide, and Türkiye is one of our strategic markets.

Türkiye has a unique position because it connects Europe and Asia. For us, succeeding in Türkiye demonstrates that our machinery, services, and technologies meet some of the highest international standards.

How do you see the future of the textile industry?

Peter: Textiles have been an essential industry for more than two centuries, and I believe they will remain fundamental in the future—not only for clothing but also for many industrial applications.
One of the biggest trends today is automation.

Manufacturers are looking for automation not only to reduce labor costs but also to improve product quality. Automated systems reduce human error and help achieve more stable, consistent production.

What opportunities do you see in the Middle East and Africa?

Peter: Although Türkiye is currently facing economic challenges, we see many textile manufacturers expanding into Egypt.

Egypt is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for textile investment because of its strategic location, competitive manufacturing environment, and growing industrial base.
I believe Egypt will become one of the next major centers for textile manufacturing in the region.

How important is sustainability for China Texmatech?

Peter: Sustainability is no longer just an idea—it has become a necessity.
Every manufacturing company must improve its environmental performance if it wants to remain competitive over the long term.

At China Texmatech, we are working to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, optimize production processes, and adopt cleaner manufacturing methods. Sustainability is integrated into our production, maintenance, and operational management.

Automation and Sustainability Shape Future Investments

China Texmatech believes automation, digitalization, and sustainable manufacturing will continue to reshape the global textile industry. As manufacturers seek higher efficiency and lower environmental impact, integrated textile solutions are becoming increasingly important.

With Türkiye serving as a bridge between Europe and Asia and Egypt emerging as a growing manufacturing hub, the company sees significant long-term opportunities across the Middle East and Africa while continuing to expand its global presence.
