Türkiye’s Raff Military Textile Targets Uganda’s Defence Market Through Trade Mission

Raff Military Textile, one of Türkiye’s leading manufacturers of military and security apparel, is set to strengthen its presence in Africa by participating in the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) trade mission to Uganda later this month. The business delegation, scheduled for July 21–25, 2026, aims to expand trade relations, explore new investment opportunities, and foster long-term industrial partnerships between Türkiye and Uganda.

The Kampala mission forms part of Türkiye’s broader strategy to deepen commercial engagement across Africa, where Turkish companies have steadily increased investments in manufacturing, defence, infrastructure, and industrial development.

Raff to Showcase Advanced Military Apparel Solutions

During the trade mission, Raff Military Textile will hold a series of high-level business meetings with government officials, defence institutions, and local industry stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities and evaluate future investments.

The company will also introduce its Raff Elite product range, featuring advanced military uniforms and security apparel engineered to provide enhanced protection, durability, and comfort for demanding operational environments.Raff currently exports its products and maintains business operations in more than 60 countries spanning Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America, making it one of Türkiye’s most internationally active military textile manufacturers.

Uganda Seen as a Strategic Gateway to Africa

Speaking ahead of the delegation, Eray Yükseloğlu, Chief Executive Officer of Raff Military Textile, emphasized Uganda’s growing importance within Africa’s economic landscape.

“Uganda is one of the region’s most dynamic and fast-growing economies, and it is positioned to play a vital role as a strategic bridge for trade between Africa and Türkiye. This trade delegation represents a massive opportunity for both nations, and it is only the beginning of a deeper journey.”

Yükseloğlu added that the company views the visit as more than a traditional business trip.

“We see our engagements in Kampala as a long-term investment that will strengthen bilateral cooperation, create sustainable business opportunities, and build mutual trust between our countries.”

Growing Türkiye–Uganda Economic Cooperation

The planned mission reflects the expanding economic relationship between Türkiye and Uganda, with both governments seeking stronger collaboration in manufacturing, defence, industrial production, and infrastructure development. As African economies continue to modernize their defence capabilities and invest in domestic industrial capacity, Turkish manufacturers are increasingly positioning themselves as long-term technology and manufacturing partners across the continent.

For Raff Military Textile, the Uganda mission represents another step in its broader African growth strategy, combining export expansion with local partnership development and future investment opportunities.
