CEDIT Targets Export Growth with Sustainable Yarn Dyeing Technologies

At ITM 2026, Kohan Textile Journal spoke with Mehmet Akif Cenk about the company’s latest yarn dyeing technologies, its export strategy, and the growing investment opportunities in Africa and the Middle East.

Q: Can you introduce CEDIT Makine?
Mehmet Akif Cenk: CEDIT Makine was established in 2005 and has specialized in manufacturing machinery for yarn dyeing, yarn drying, centrifuges, and yarn heat-setting systems ever since. Our product portfolio includes hank dyeing machines, package dyeing machines, fiber dyeing machines, as well as yarn heat-setting, centrifuge, and drying systems.

With more than 20 years of experience, we have successfully exported our technologies to more than 20 countries. Our headquarters are located in Bursa, Türkiye, and our primary objective is to continue expanding as an export-oriented machinery manufacturer.

Q: What technologies are you showcasing at ITM 2026?
Mehmet Akif Cenk: At ITM 2026, we are presenting our Eco Tank yarn heat-setting machine, together with our package dyeing machines. One of the most significant innovations we are currently promoting is our rotating-arm hank dyeing machine equipped with a spray system. This technology dramatically reduces the liquor ratio from approximately 1:20 to as low as 1:7–1:8.

By lowering the liquor ratio, manufacturers can significantly reduce water, chemical, and energy consumption while achieving higher production efficiency. Today, sustainability is no longer optional, and reducing resource consumption has become one of the industry’s highest priorities.

Q: How do you see the future of the textile industry?
Mehmet Akif Cenk: We believe the future of the textile industry will be shaped by three major trends: sustainability, digitalization, and efficiency.Manufacturers are increasingly looking for ways to produce higher-quality products at lower costs. As a result, machines offering greater automation, stronger process control, and improved energy efficiency will become even more important.

At CEDIT Makine, we continue investing in technologies that help our customers achieve these objectives while making production more sustainable and competitive.

Q: What is your outlook for the textile markets in Africa and the Middle East?
Mehmet Akif Cenk: We already have a strong customer base across both Africa and the Middle East.We are seeing textile investments increase year after year throughout these regions. Many countries are expanding their manufacturing capacity and investing heavily to strengthen their textile industries, often supported by government incentive programs.

Existing manufacturers are also increasing their production capabilities. Because of this ongoing investment, we believe demand for modern, efficient textile machinery will continue to grow significantly across Africa and the Middle East in the coming years.

Editor’s Insight

CEDIT Makine’s strategy reflects one of the strongest trends currently shaping the textile machinery industry: delivering measurable sustainability through process innovation. By focusing on technologies that reduce liquor ratios, water usage, chemical consumption, and energy demand, the company addresses the growing need for cost-efficient and environmentally responsible production. With expanding exports and increasing interest from emerging textile markets, CEDIT appears well positioned to benefit from the next wave of investment in Africa and the Middle East.
