Trützschler has signed a major strategic cooperation agreement with Fujian Leo Group, marking a significant expansion of their long-term partnership in the nonwovens sector.
The agreement, formalized during a signing ceremony in Geneva, includes a third-phase order for ten new 4.2 – meter Air-Through-Bonding (ATB) production lines, reinforcing Leo Group’s large-scale investment in high-capacity nonwoven manufacturing. Once fully operational, the Chinese manufacturer will operate a total of 20 Trützschler ATB lines, establishing a highly advanced production network built on scale, efficiency, and intelligent automation.
Building on a Proven Partnership
The collaboration between the two companies dates back to 2022, when the first 3.8 – meter back-to-back double carding ATB line was commissioned. Its strong performance—characterized by stable operation, high output, and consistent product quality—laid the groundwork for further expansion.
Prior to the latest agreement, Fujian Leo Group had already deployed nine 3.8 – meter ATB lines and one 4.2 – meter line, enabling standardized and efficient production of nonwoven materials. The continued success of these installations has driven both partners to deepen cooperation and scale up capacity.
Advancing High-Capacity Nonwoven Production
The newly ordered 4.2 – meter ATB lines represent Trützschler’s latest generation of high-speed, high-capacity equipment. Designed to meet the evolving demands of the global nonwovens market, these systems integrate:
- Advanced carding technology
- Intelligent process control systems
- Increased working width and productivity
- Reduced energy consumption
- Enhanced product uniformity and quality
The new lines are expected to support Fujian Leo Group’s strategic focus on high-end nonwoven materials, particularly in the personal hygiene segment, while improving operational efficiency and reducing production costs.
