Kohan Textile Journal had the pleasure of speaking with Mrs. Eileen, Sales Manager at TOP MAYA EMBROIDERY MACHINE, during the ITCPE 2025 exhibition in Guangzhou, China. Mrs. Eileen shared valuable insights into the company’s latest technological innovations, export strategies, and the evolution of Chinese embroidery machinery.
Why Participate in ITCPE?
Mrs. Eileen:
“ITCPE is one of the most renowned exhibitions in China, attracting both domestic and international visitors. For TOP MAYA, it’s a vital platform to showcase our brand, which has been leading the embroidery machinery industry since 2005. Our presence here highlights our commitment to innovation and global outreach.”
Showcasing Innovation: New Technologies on Display
Mrs. Eileen emphasized the company’s ongoing R&D efforts.
“This year, we are proud to exhibit several patented technologies. One highlight is our camera-positioning system for embroidery, a proprietary technology that enhances precision. We also presented our high-speed embroidery machine capable of 1500 stitches per minute and a multi-color taping mix machine, which significantly increases efficiency. Additionally, we introduced our multi-color coating thread system, offering greater creative flexibility for our clients.”
Global Market Focus: Spotlight on Middle East and Africa
Discussing the company’s international footprint, Mrs. Eileen noted:
“Our main markets include Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East, particularly Turkey, India, and Pakistan—regions that are textile powerhouses. In these markets, we have built a solid reputation. Additionally, we are growing in South and North America and are gradually expanding into Europe.”
From Copying to Leading: China’s Machinery Evolution
When asked about the transformation of China’s machinery sector, Mrs. Eileen addressed a common stereotype:
“It’s true that in the early stages, China started by imitating foreign technologies. But today, the reality is different. China is now at the forefront of innovation, especially in embroidery. TOP MAYA, for example, invests heavily in R&D and owns several patents. We no longer follow—we lead. While Japanese and German machines are known for their quality, they evolve slowly. Chinese manufacturers like us are pushing boundaries with faster innovation and better price-quality balance.”
Striking the Right Balance: Quality and Affordability
Mrs. Eileen concluded:
“The key to China’s rise in textile machinery is the ability to offer high-quality, technologically advanced machines at competitive prices. This balance makes Chinese machines highly attractive worldwide.”
