Trützschler: First Nonwovens Symposium in Uzbekistan has been a great success:

Last week, Trützschler held its first Nonwovens Symposium ever in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The team presented market leading and proven industrial solutions for the nonwovens and man-made fiber industry to one of the biggest cotton producers in the world.

In his presentation, Christoph Brauers, Area Sales Manager Trützschler Nonwovens, put one focus on sustainable wipes made from renewable raw materials, for instance cotton fibers, as they show the same – or even better – characteristics than conventional products on the market. Flexible cotton nonwoven lines for the production of either baby wipes or cosmetic pads attracted great interest among the participants.

Another focus point was on the Carded/Pulp (CP) technology. CP lines combine high output and low production costs. The main raw material is cost-effective paper-grade pulp – but CP wipes deliver a touch and feel similar to wipes made entirely from staple fibers.

The talk given by Matthias Schemken, COO Trützschler Switzerland, expanded on carpet yarn manufacturing. “Take 4” is the motto of Trützschler Man-Made Fibers’ product portfolio of extrusion systems for BCF (Bulk Continuous Filaments) carpet and industrial yarns. The lively discussion about the potential of the 4-end OPTIMA system will certainly continue during the next weeks and months.

Dr. Dirk Burger, CEO Trützschler Group SE, Alexander Stampfer, CSO Trützschler Group SE, and Klaus Wolf, CEO Trützschler Nonwovens, attended the Symposium as well – and expressed their gratitude to the local Trützschler teams as well as the agencies Flashberg and Derux for organizing this successful event.
