Itaca – Revolutionary Pigment Inks for Digital Textile Printing with NCR-Technology

Itaca is a Spanish ink producer, having its foundation in the global digital ceramic tile printing sector, and today has more than one third of the worldwide market share, producing tens of millions kgs of digital ceramic pigment inks each year. Backed by extensive knowledge in the formulation and production of digital ceramics pigment inks, it has expanded its reach into new sectors such as textiles.

The company has developed its own proprietary Nano-capsule Color Release Technology (NCR), especially developed pigment inks for digital textile printing. Itaca helps textile printing companies adopt digital transformation, making production more efficient, more customizable, and, above all, more economical, besides the obvious advantage of a more sustainable solution than established digital printing technologies.

Itaca does not just produce the inks, it accompanies its customers throughout the entire process, from idea to execution. Its international customer service team provides practical support and training wherever necessary, ensuring that every project is carried out with confidence and precision.

In this regard, Itaca´s new Triton ink set is formulated to achieve vibrant, intensive colors and unrivalled fastness results, while being fully compatible with the leading printing systems. Triton inks allow companies that relied on reactive inks to now achieve the appropriate color brilliance and fastness with pigment inks.

They also eliminate mercerizing, steaming and washing processes, making the cost more competitive, or even lower, than printing with reactive inks. This reduction in processes translates into an 86% reduction in water consumption, 58% in energy, and 56% in CO2 emissions, representing a true contribution to sustainability.
