Iran handmade carpet to get identity certificate in Blockchain platform

Iran’s handmade carpet will get identity certificate in Blockchain platform to prevent the production and sale of counterfeit carpets.

Managing Director of National Center for Identification of Goods and Services (Iran Code) Seyyed Hossein Paryab announced the presentation of projects to revive the identity of Iran’s handmade carpet at the World Summit of GS1 and said soon this Iranian art-industry will get identity certificate to prevent the production and sale of counterfeit carpets in Blockchain platform.

Blockchain to Certify Authenticity of Iran’s Handmade Carpets

In an exclusive interview with Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Tuesday, the Iranian official announced the launch of three projects for introducing Iranian handmade carpets in the Blockchain platform originality of goods and service coding for the first time at the World Conference of GS1.

GS1 is a global, non-profit, non-governmental organization, 45-year-old that has assigned international standards for global supply chain management; the GS1 motto is the ‘global business language’ and focuses on facilitating global trade as its mission. GS1 standards are the most widely used standards in the world and are the result of a collective wisdom.

The organization has always interacted with the world’s leading institutions, including United Nations standards and the International Standards Organization (ISO). Also GS1 has signed joint agreements with the World Customs Organization (WCO), the World Trade Organization (WTO) to create a common language and facilitate international trade.
