Ali Morad Norouzi, Head of the Evaluation Unit at the Isfahan Customs House based in Kashan, announced that over 50,000 kilograms of goods valued at more than $46 million were exported from Kashan during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (starting March 21).
This volume represents a 10% increase in weight compared to the same period last year, reflecting steady growth in the region’s export activities.
Kashan Strengthens Its Global Export Footprint
According to Norouzi, steel products and carpets constituted the bulk of Kashan’s exports. Other significant export items included dairy products, brake pads, PVC materials, carpet and rugs, cast iron pipes, rose water, herbal essences, copper wire, water coolers, detergents, and lemon juice.
Additional exports comprised plastic and melamine goods, metal molds, various types of yarn, synthetic fibers, aluminum products, and Chinese porcelain.
Kashan’s diverse exports reached a wide range of international destinations, including Germany, Sweden, Austria, Canada, the UK, Singapore, Brazil, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Spain, Lithuania, Japan, China, Australia, Russia, and numerous countries across Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia, such as Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, South Africa, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Albania, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, Pakistan, India, Kenya, Uganda, Turkey, Georgia, Finland, Zambia, Indonesia, Lebanon, Vietnam, and Mozambique.
These export achievements underscore Kashan’s growing role in Iran’s industrial and manufacturing sectors, particularly in steel, carpet, and diversified industrial goods.
