Biska Tekstil Spins Sustainable Success with World-First Saurer Autocoro 11 Machines

Biska Tekstil, a pioneering Turkish textile company, has grabbed the spotlight in the industry by becoming the first ever user of the world’s longest Saurer Autocoro 11 machine. This revolutionary technology marks a significant step towards sustainable yarn production.

Mr. Mehmet Yilmaz, Technical Mill manager at Biska, reports: “I’m impressed that the installation and start-up phase was completed flawlessly and without any hurdles. A big thank you to the installation team of Saurer and their big support.”

The Saurer Autocoro 11, with its record-breaking length, empowers Biska Tekstil to manufacture high-quality recycled rotor yarns. This caters directly to the ever-growing demand for eco-friendly textiles in the global market. Biska Tekstil doesn’t just boast one, but a staggering 18 Autocoro 11 machines, each boasting an impressive 816 spinning positions, solidifying their position as world record holders in this category.

All Autocoro 11 at Biska Tekstil are equipped with the Recycling Xtreme Edition, which will enable them to meet the demands of the future textile market. Now they are producing sustainable Open End (OE) yarns from recycled fibres.

The seamless installation and successful startup of these machines are a testament to the strong collaboration between Biska Tekstil and Saurer Group.

This partnership underscores Biska Tekstil’s commitment to innovation and positions them as a frontrunner in sustainable textile manufacturing.
