OfBusiness to Fully Acquire Indian Design, Expanding Global Apparel Capabilities

B2B commerce and financing platform OfBusiness is set to acquire the remaining 30% equity in Indian Design, a leading Bengaluru-based garment and home textile manufacturer. This follows its earlier majority investment and marks a decisive step toward strengthening its position in the global fashion supply chain.

Indian Design Boosts OfBusiness’s Global Reach

Indian Design, with annual revenues of Rs. 1,300 crore (US$144 million), manufactures for major brands including H&M, GAP, Old Navy, Columbia, and IKEA. The acquisition will significantly deepen OfBusiness’s apparel supply capabilities, complementing existing partnerships with Zara, Abercrombie & Fitch, Michael Kors, Uniqlo, Adidas, and Skechers.

According to Co-founder Vasant Sridhar, the apparel vertical is now expected to reach Rs. 3,000 crore (US$332 million) in revenue, with 80% derived from exports. He added that the company aims to build a comprehensive sourcing and design hub covering garments, accessories, and footwear, offering global brands a unified platform for streamlined supply chain operations.

The move aligns with the company’s strong FY ’25 performance, during which OfBusiness recorded consolidated revenue of Rs. 22,241 crore (US$2.46 billion) and Rs. 597 crore (US$66.15 million) in profit after tax. Its net worth now stands at Rs. 9,400 crore (US$1.04 billion).

With full ownership of Indian Design, OfBusiness is strategically positioned to accelerate its growth in international apparel sourcing and reinforce India’s competitiveness in global fashion manufacturing.
