Marzoli Textile Engineering has reaffirmed its position as a global leader in spinning automation, highlighting groundbreaking innovations that date back more than four decades. General Manager Cristian Locatelli recalled that Marzoli was the first company in the world to introduce automatic doffing on ring frames in the 1980s—a milestone that transformed efficiency in spinning mills and set new industry standards. Marzoli Strengthens Its Legacy as a Pioneer in Spinning Automation
Locatelli noted that Marzoli’s automation leadership goes beyond doffing. The company has developed sophisticated doffing systems, advanced transport solutions across machines, and comprehensive software and electronic platforms that support fully automated mill operations.
Looking toward the next era, Locatelli emphasized that robotics will define the future of spinning. Marzoli is now collaborating closely with the Camozzi Group, its parent company and a specialist in automation and robotic components, to develop robotic systems capable of handling textile materials—one of the industry’s most complex challenges.
“Robotics is absolutely the future,” Locatelli said. “We have been investing in this field for years, and we are preparing to bring these solutions to the industry. Our goal is to enable robots to handle textiles and take automation in spinning to a completely new level.”
With its unmatched legacy and forward-looking investments, Marzoli continues to push the boundaries of smart, automated, and next-generation spinning technology.
