The 2025 edition of Expo Producción México, held from September 25–27 at Centro Banamex, concluded successfully with a remarkable turnout of more than 14,000 industry professionals, reaffirming its position as the leading event for the textile and sewn-products value chain in Mexico and Central America.
Co-located with FESPA Mexico 2025, the exhibition once again demonstrated the growing integration between textile manufacturing, digital printing, and apparel production technologies. Visitors had the opportunity to explore a complete supply-chain showcase — from fibers, fabrics, trims, and accessories to the latest machinery, software, logistics, and finishing solutions.
Innovation and Collaboration Drive the Show
Exhibitors and experts highlighted Mexico’s evolving role as a strategic manufacturing hub for the Americas, thanks to its proximity to major markets and the country’s established expertise in apparel and technical textiles.
Conference sessions delved into crucial industry themes such as the impact of trade and tariff policies, the emergence of smart workwear and wearable technologies, and the digital transformation of apparel manufacturing. The event provided an ideal meeting ground for brands, technology suppliers, and investors seeking to enhance production efficiency and regional sourcing capabilities.
Strengthening the Textile Sector Amid Economic Challenges
Despite a cautious macroeconomic outlook — with national GDP growth projected between 0.1% and 1.2% in 2025 — the Mexican textile and apparel industry remains a key driver of employment and industrial development. The sector currently supports over 1.2 million jobs, of which nearly 59% are held by women, underscoring its critical social and economic impact.
FESPA Partnership Expands Digital Horizons
The partnership with FESPA Mexico added further value by spotlighting the latest in digital printing, sublimation, and decorative textile applications. This synergy reflects global trends where design flexibility, speed-to-market, and customization are reshaping apparel and home-textile production.
A Catalyst for Growth and Regional Cooperation
Organizers and participants alike emphasized that Expo Producción México 2025 succeeded not only as a trade fair but as a catalyst for innovation, sustainability, and cross-border collaboration across Latin America’s textile and fashion markets.
With growing international participation and continued government support, the exhibition is set to play a major role in advancing Mexico’s position as a regional leader in textile manufacturing and export competitiveness.
