Türkiye is the EU’s most important supplier of denim fabric

According to the World Denim Fabric Sector Foreign Trade Report published by the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association (ITHIB), Türkiye is among the EU’s most important denim fabric suppliers. Single-handedly accounting for 25.4 percent of the EU’s denim fabric imports in 2024, Türkiye ranks fourth globally with an export performance of $291 million. In addition to denim fabric, Türkiye is also a major player in the ready-to-wear sector. With $3.5 billion in denim apparel exports in 2024, Türkiye ranked fourth globally and is the second-largest supplier to the EU market, following Bangladesh.
