Brückner Textile Technologies GmbH & Co. KG, the German leader in sustainable and energy-efficient textile finishing machinery, has officially inaugurated its Indian subsidiary, Brückner Textile India Pvt. Ltd., in Coimbatore. The move reinforces Brückner’s long-term commitment to one of the world’s fastest-growing textile markets and positions the company to serve Indian manufacturers with greater proximity and efficiency.
The new office, led by Thomas Wiget, Director of Brückner Textile India, and Alexander Mandel, Sales Director at Brückner Textile Technologies GmbH & Co. KG, marks a strategic milestone. “Our mission is to combine German engineering with Indian speed and flexibility. This office is a clear signal that we are here to stay and grow with our customers,” said Mandel.
Supporting India’s Textile Growth
With India poised to surpass China in spinning capacity and scaling up in man-made fibers and high-value textiles, Brückner sees immense opportunity. “India has approximately 80 million spindles today. In five to ten years, it will be the global textile superpower,” noted Wiget.
Brückner’s portfolio for India includes stenters such as the new Power Dryer, sanforizers, continuous dyeing ranges (Pad-Dry-Thermosol and Pad-Dry-EcoSteam), and solutions for nonwovens and technical textiles. The recently launched Power Dryer has already secured its first installations in India.
Local Presence, Global Standards
While Brückner machines continue to be manufactured in Tittmoning, Germany, the Coimbatore office will serve as a sales and service hub, ensuring faster response times, localized technical consultation, and after-sales support.
“Service is critical. You can sell a machine once, but without reliable service, you won’t sell the second time,” emphasized Wiget. Brückner has nearly 250 installations in India and aims to further increase its market share in premium finishing machinery.
Brückner Textile India is led by an experienced team including A. Venkatesh Babu (Sales – South & East India) and Vinod Kumar V. (Sales – North & West India), supported by expanding service engineering staff to cover commissioning and installation.
Focus on Innovation and Sustainability
India’s growing demand for synthetic fiber processing, particularly polyester and elastane blends, aligns with Brückner’s strengths. Advanced stenter technologies featuring tension control and split-flow design are already gaining traction among Indian mills investing in MMF processing units.
At the upcoming ITMA Asia + CITME 2025 in Singapore, Brückner will highlight its new SFP 2 stenter, underscoring its leadership in energy-efficient, sustainable finishing solutions.
A Statement of Long-Term Commitment
Reflecting on the expansion, Wiget stated: “This is not just a new office. It’s a statement. We are here to be part of India’s textile growth story—bringing the best of German technology and combining it with the spirit, speed, and scale of India.”
