X-Rite Incorporated, a global leader in color science and technology, has announced the integration of the Pantone TPG color library into its PantoneLIVE™ digital color ecosystem. Part of the Pantone Fashion, Home + Interiors (FHI) system, the addition allows brands to digitally visualize and communicate Pantone TPG colors across multiple applications, including leather goods, ceramics, cosmetics, and other coated materials.
The TPG (Textile Paper – Green) library, available through the PantoneLIVE Production – Plastics, Coatings & Textile subscription, offers lacquer-coated color standards designed for use on coated surfaces. These colors are aligned with their TCX (Textile Cotton System) counterparts, ensuring accurate cross-material consistency from textiles to hard goods.
With consumer demand for speed, accuracy, and sustainability increasing, the expanded PantoneLIVE libraries help eliminate costly trial-and-error in color development. Designers and manufacturers can preview production-ready colors digitally, reducing the need for physical samples, cutting rework, and accelerating approvals. In total, more than 4,000 Pantone FHI colors are now available through PantoneLIVE, supporting a wide range of fashion, home, and lifestyle applications.
“PantoneLIVE now extends its value to brand owners who rely on the FHI system to specify and manage color across both soft and hard materials,” said Pieter Mulder, Director Global Brand Accounts at X-Rite and Pantone. “By digitizing Pantone TPG colors and aligning them with TCX textile standards, we’re giving designers and suppliers a unified, reliable approach to producing accurate color across materials while speeding up production.”
Digital Tools for Textile and Apparel
PantoneLIVE integrates with X-Rite’s broader portfolio of color management solutions, including Textile Color Hub for specification and approval, Color iMatch for formulation, Color iQC for quality control, and X-Rite spectrophotometers for precise measurement. Together, these tools create an end-to-end digital workflow that reduces color-matching time and can improve time-to-market by up to 75%.
“These new PantoneLIVE libraries, combined with X-Rite’s measurement solutions, give brands and suppliers the ability to preview and deliver consistent color across the full production chain,” Mulder added. “That means less guesswork—and more confidence that the final product will look exactly as intended.”
X-Rite will showcase these digital innovations at Fabricating the Future: AATCC and SEAMS 2025 Annual Conference, taking place October 5–7 in Savannah, GA.
