During the Turkmenistan Economic Days in Germany, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyyev announced Turkmenistan’s proposal for a strategic partnership with Germany to promote environmentally friendly textile products in European markets.
Expanding Sustainable Textile Production and Exports
Atagulyyev highlighted that Turkmenistan’s textile industry currently operates around 60 modern enterprises, equipped with advanced technologies, producing a wide range of textile goods — 70% of which are exported to international markets.
He emphasized Turkmenistan’s commitment to expanding its export potential and strengthening ties with German engineering firms to introduce innovative technologies and high-tech machinery in newly established production facilities.
The proposed partnership reflects Turkmenistan’s growing ambition to align its textile manufacturing with European sustainability standards and to position itself as a reliable supplier of eco-friendly textiles to global markets.
