The 36th edition of ColombiaModa concluded with unprecedented success, welcoming over 60,000 visitors from 50 countries and solidifying Medellín’s position as Latin America’s fashion capital. Among the 650 participating brands, 16 Turkish textile companies showcased their high-quality offerings and innovative production capabilities, marking a strong presence from Turkey on the global fashion stage.
Organized by Inexmoda, ColombiaModa 2025 delivered a dynamic mix of business matchmaking, creative showcases, and trend-defining discussions under one roof. From July 22 to 25, the exhibition transformed Medellín into a vibrant hub for fashion, culture, and innovation, generating an estimated economic impact of $17.7 million for the region. The event featured 34 runway shows across 46 urban venues, as well as a comprehensive fringe program with 50 expert-led conferences and the much-anticipated Knowledge Pavilion, addressing topics from circular economy to textile biotechnology.

With sustainability and digital transformation at the heart of this year’s agenda, ColombiaModa also celebrated the growing global shift toward responsible fashion. The Sustainability Route highlighted over 50 brands with eco-conscious initiatives, while the Circular Fashion Market, in partnership with Coca-Cola, introduced new possibilities for design with recycled and alternative fibers.

These companies collectively demonstrated the strength of Turkey’s textile sector, offering solutions from sustainable yarn and jacquard innovations to ready-to-wear fashion, denim, and embroidery.
Speaking about the Turkish delegation’s organizer, Mr. Ergun Karabulut said:
“We participated in ColombiaModa, one of the biggest gatherings of the textile sector in South America, with 16 companies from Turkey. This was a great opportunity to once again showcase the strength and potential of Turkish textile firms on the international stage.”
He added: “The efforts shown by our companies and the positive feedback they received during the fair were truly gratifying. This event has been a meaningful platform for building new business relationships and promoting our brands to international markets. Turkish textiles once again received praise for their quality and innovation.”
Looking Ahead
Turkish firms at ColombiaModa successfully leveraged the event’s diverse attendance—including over 11,000 buyers from the Americas and beyond—to build long-term commercial relationships. Their participation not only reinforced Turkey’s role as a key player in the global textile value chain but also laid the groundwork for future collaborations in the fast-growing Latin American market.
Preparations are already underway for Turkey’s return to Colombiatex 2026 in January, with a renewed focus on expanding partnerships and boosting trade between Latin America and Turkey.
As the textile world looks toward new markets, ColombiaModa 2025 has proven to be an exceptional bridge between cultures, supply chains, and innovations—an opportunity that Turkish firms were quick to seize.
