Trützschler Opens New Plant in Sanand, India

Trützschler India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Germany-based Trützschler Group, officially inaugurated its new advanced manufacturing facility at Sanand GIDC. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, along with top leadership from Trützschler Germany and Trützschler India.

Speaking at the event, company promoter Dr. Schürnkramer outlined Trützschler’s long-standing commitment to the Indian textile industry. “The trust and confidence of our Indian customers over the years encouraged us to invest further and become a dominant player in India’s textile machinery market,” he said, expressing gratitude to the state government for its support in expediting infrastructure and approvals.

The inauguration was attended by Trützschler’s owners, CEOs, and senior executives from both India and Germany, along with plant staff and industry stakeholders.

A Legacy of Innovation in India

Trützschler’s journey in India began in 1977 with the establishment of its subsidiary formerly known as Trumac in Ahmedabad. Over the decades, the company expanded its local manufacturing footprint — first supplying blow room machines, then adding cards in 1992 and draw frames in 2002. A key milestone came in 2009 with the introduction of the full Trützschler series to the Indian market.

Today, Trützschler India is a center of excellence, not only manufacturing globally competitive machines but also handling end-to-end project planning, sales, and nationwide service operations independently.

Upgraded Production Aligned with Global Standards

The new Sanand facility spans 36,000 sq. meters and represents a significant upgrade under Trützschler’s Global Production Strategy. Equipped with high-tech machinery — including Trumpf high-speed laser cutting machines, CNC systems from MAG, DMG, and Mazak, and a GEMA powder coating plant — the site is poised to deliver superior quality and productivity.

Its Card Clothing Division has also been enhanced with advanced flat top pin setting machines and profile wire production lines, meeting rising demand for TCC products in both domestic and global markets.

Embracing Lean and Smart Manufacturing

Trützschler India has implemented Lean Manufacturing, 5S practices, and Quality Circle systems across the production floor to optimize material flow, reduce waste, and enhance cross-functional collaboration. These efforts, supported by ISO 9001:2008 certification, have positioned the company to meet future demands with agility and precision.

In addition to its core focus on spinning preparation and card clothing, TIPL also supports the group’s nonwovens activities in India, reinforcing Trützschler’s strategic presence in one of the world’s largest textile markets.

With the opening of the Sanand plant, Trützschler reaffirms its long-term commitment to India’s textile machinery sector — delivering German engineering with local manufacturing excellence.together.
