Texworld NYC 2024: Bridging Global Sourcing and Sustainable Fashion Trends

Texworld New York City, the largest sourcing event on the East Coast, is set to host its upcoming edition from January 22-24, 2024, at the Jacob K. Javits Center. With 300 exhibitors from 20 countries and three co-located shows—Texworld New York City, Apparel Sourcing New York City, and Printsource—the event promises a diverse and enriching experience for visitors.

To help navigate the vast array of textiles and fashion items from around the globe, organizers have put together practical trend insights and industry information, aiming to assist in directing purchases and optimizing business strategies.

One of the highlights is the dedicated country pavilions, such as the Turkey Pavilion, spotlighting Turkey’s dynamic textile landscape. Jennifer Bacon, VP of Fashion + Apparel at Messe Frankfurt Inc., expressed excitement about the addition, saying, “Turkey’s rich history in textile craftsmanship and its contemporary approach to manufacturing make it an invaluable addition to our diverse showcase of global talent.”

For those looking closer to home, Texworld New York City has introduced the SEAMS Supply Chain USA Pavilion, reinforcing the event’s commitment to empowering the American supply chain.

Sustainability is a major focus at the event, with panels like “The Green Transition” exploring global legislative changes impacting the industry. The Textile Talks stage will host informative panels and presentations daily, covering various aspects of sustainability and business. Additionally, Texworld NYC has partnered with the Material Innovation Initiative for the Next-Gen Innovation Hub, showcasing high-performing and sustainable fiber and material alternatives.

The Sourcing Outlook 2024 panel will provide an expanded business overview, covering everything from sustainability to trade, labor, and raw materials.

On the fashion and trend front, Perclers Paris will present seasonal moods within S/S 2025 Colors and Inspirations, while Kai Chow of DONEGER | TOBE will offer a Trend Showcase and guided tour. The Sakura Collection Fashion Show on the Textile Talks Stage will showcase Japanese style, and a partnership with Milan-based Arsutoria will curate a trend area focusing on shoes and bags.

Nicole Rawling, co-founder + CEO of MII, praised Texworld for showcasing the next generation of material and fiber innovators, stating, “Sustainability must be at the forefront of every collection.”

Texworld New York City promises to be a comprehensive platform, bridging the gap between global sourcing and sustainable, trendsetting fashion, making it a must-attend event for industry professionals.
