Russia’s Choice of Baby and Child Garments Was Bursa

Under the leadership of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of baby and children’s garment sector made an export expedition to Moscow.

Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) continues to conduct its export oriented growth projects of Bursa business world, for Turkey’s baby and child garments production base Bursa in the industry, has signed an important international organization. BTSO brought together more than 25 thousand firms and corporate representatives from more than 100 countries with commercial Safari and UR-GE projects with companies from Bursa. BTSO brought together the members of UR-GE Project member companies of the Baby and Child Garment Sector with the representatives of Russian business world.

246 percent increase in exports

Within the scope of the event, bilateral business meetings were held simultaneously with CJF Autumn Child and Junior Fashion Fair in Moscow. Under the chairmanship of İsmail Kuş, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of BTSO, nearly 40 Bursa’s sector representatives who went to Russia and signed important collaborations.

Vice President of BTSO İsmail Kuş said, “We attach importance to the Russian market, where we achieved an increase of 246 percent in exports in the last 2 years. We know Turkey and Bursa’s success in the Russian market, very well. The interest of our Russian business representatives to our event was an indication of this.” Kuş stating that the companies from Bursa met with 420 foreign business representatives and explained that about half of the more than 200 job interviews had the potential to be positive.
