Resistex Copper: Copper as a well-being in the mattress

Well-being also, and above all, passes from sleep. It is the hours of rest that play a decisive role in people’s health. In this regard, studies and technologies have led to the juxtaposition of traditional yarns with others of a technical matrix, based on real performances that have well-being as their common denominator.

Today we are talking about the role played in this direction by the Resistex Copper yarn, developed by the Tecnofilati Srl company of the Abati Group.

Resistex® Copper is a latest generation yarn, born in the Tecnofilati laboratories, obtained from the union of natural or artificial fibers with a special extra thin, bare or enamelled copper filament. This material, historically known for its electrical, thermal conductivity and antibacterial properties has been declined in multiple levels of use and, thanks to its special structure, maintains its characteristics effective over time, even after numerous washes.

Resistex® Copper has 5 fundamental properties:

  • Antistatic property (no enamel version): disperses the electrical charges accumulated by the environment;
  • Metabolic Properties: assimilated through the skin it helps the body to grow and stay healthy;
  • Antioxidant properties: fights free radicals, the cause of cellular aging;
  • Breathable Properties: accelerates the evaporation process of sweat;
  • Thermoregulating properties: slows down the formation of humidity by keeping the temperature constant.

Let’s see an example in the London realization, a mattress made by Gruppo Fortunato with Resistex Copper yarn:

The London mattress fabric is 100% natural, retains its characteristics over time, does not contain chemicals and is non-toxic. The Resistex Copper fiber, with pure copper, ensures a thermo-regulating effect and, thanks to the presence of the superoxide dismutase (SOD) enzyme, works a valid action against the free radicals responsible for aging.
