MOMAD Announces the Companies that will Appear in the Sustainable Fashion Area, Sustainable Experience

An area that will host thirteen companies, seven of them new to MOMAD, while the remainder have already participated in previous editions. They all exceed the minimum requirements to appear in this part of MOMAD and will be set up in corridors H and I of Hall 8 of the Recinto Ferial of IFEMA MADRID.

The next edition of MOMAD will take place from 13 to 15 September in Hall 8 at IFEMA MADRID, and the trade fair has now announced which firms will participate in the Sustainable Experience area. Thirteen companies are set to join the sustainable fashion event this time around—seven of them newcomers, while the other six are returning participants.

Likewise, all the companies involved have met the sustainability standards set by the organisation in order to showcase their products in the Sustainable Experience section. Aspects such as membership of a sustainable fashion association and certifications in sustainability in addition to meeting the majority of environmental criteria (use of organic materials, eco-design, water use practices and CO2 emissions reduction, waste management, respect for animals), social criteria (respect for human rights, compliance with labour regulations and collective agreements, providing decent working conditions, health and safety, local production, integration of disadvantaged people, fair trade practices and support for non-profit initiatives that have social and environmental benefits); and cultural criteria (application of textile traditions and crafts).

The newcomers to the Sustainable Experience are Terko, CCILU, Maz Shoes, Lizarazu Handknitted, Organsk Jeans, SA Terrana, Fouroz, and the footwear brand Castell which, together with the fashion brand Tartaruga, will be located in sectors according to the style of their collections. The repeat participants at this edition will be Hemper, Nomadic State of Mind, Linnoa Bags, Elemente Clemente, Watthandcrafted and Ikiz.

MOMAD September 2024 will be held alongside INTERGIFT, Salón Internacional del Regalo y Decoración (International Gift and Decoration Fair), from 11 to 14 September; Madridjoya and Bisutex, both from 12 to 15 September; and MBFWMadrid, which will run from 12 to 16 September.
