The Istanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHİB) is a prominent organization within Turkey’s carpet industry, based in Istanbul, the hub of carpet trade. Established in 1989, IHİB is one of four exporters’ associations under the General Secretariat of the Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association.
IHİB represents around 500 carpet exporting companies, mainly located in Istanbul, facilitating approximately 20% of Turkey’s total carpet exports. Their primary objective is to enhance Turkey’s carpet export potential, support member companies in export-related activities, and advocate for the sector’s interests nationally and internationally. IHİB conducts various activities toward achieving these goals.
