HMK Tekstil Highlights Turkish Textile Strength at Colombiamoda 2025

HMK Tekstil, a leading Turkish producer of women’s apparel fabrics, showcased its sustainable and value-added collections at Colombiamoda 2025, underscoring the company’s strategy to diversify markets and strengthen Turkey’s textile presence in Latin America.

Speaking at the exhibition, Mr. Tufan Agbulak, Marketing Manager of HMK Tekstil, emphasized the importance of exploring South America as an alternative to traditional markets:

“The global textile industry is facing fluctuations, and at times Europe or other regions slow down. That is why it is essential to explore new and dynamic markets such as South America,” Mr. Agbulak explained. “Colombia and its neighboring countries like Peru, Mexico, and Brazil present significant potential. With their large populations and growing demand for unique, high-quality fabrics, these markets cannot be overlooked.”

Focus on Sustainability and Differentiation

HMK Tekstil is recognized for its sustainable production practices, using eco-friendly yarns and creating fabrics that meet the latest global standards. The company’s collection at Colombiamoda featured sustainable textiles, jacquards, and specialty fabrics that appeal to markets seeking high-end, differentiated products rather than purely price-driven options.

“In today’s industry, high-volume basic production has shifted towards more boutique, value-added items,” Mr. Agbulak noted. “This is exactly where HMK Tekstil positions itself – offering collections that are not only sustainable but also creative and difficult to replicate.”

Expanding Horizons in Latin America

While HMK Tekstil exports widely to Europe and other regions, the company views Latin America as a strategic growth market. The region’s textile and apparel sector is evolving, and demand is rising for innovative fabrics that go beyond standard offerings.
“Our goal at Colombiamoda is not only to secure orders but also to present Turkish textiles to the world,” Mr. Agbulak stressed. “It is about showing what Turkey can contribute in terms of innovation, quality, and diversity. Building relationships and raising awareness of Turkish textiles is just as important as business deals.”

Representing Turkish Textiles on the Global Stage

By participating in Colombiamoda 2025, HMK Tekstil reinforces its mission to represent Turkish textiles at the highest level, showcasing the sector’s strengths in sustainability, flexibility, and design innovation. The company’s approach reflects a broader vision to diversify customers, reduce risks, and open new opportunities in Latin America’s expanding textile market.
