Ten Tunisian companies and young entrepreneurs were recognized for their achievements in research, development, innovation, and entrepreneurship during the second edition of the “TEX AWARDS”, held last Friday in Tunis. The event was organized by the Tunisian Federation of Textiles and Clothing (FTTH) to celebrate excellence and stimulate innovation across the country’s textile and apparel sector.
Award Winners Across Key Industry Categories
In the Digital Innovation category, the exporting garment manufacturer Altutex Group received top honors for its advanced digital transformation initiatives. The startup Green Nonwomen Visline, known for converting textile waste into sustainable and eco-friendly materials, was awarded the title of “Influential Startup.”
Trading Logistic Service, specializing in textile platforms and packaging, earned the “Distinguished Exporter” award, while Sartex – Société des Arts Textiles, a leader in finished denim production, was recognized in the “Sustainable Textile (Green Textile)” category.

The award for Research, Development, and Innovation went to Vizmerald, a company producing connected electronic devices and intelligent 3D graphic simulations. The Ksour Essef Textile Training Center was honored in the “Training” category for its essential role in strengthening the sector’s workforce.
In individual recognitions, Walid El Ghoul and Abir Obeid were celebrated as “Young Leaders,” and the “Pioneering Women” award went to Salwa Zouari.
The Tunisian ready-to-wear brand Kontact won in the “Tunisian Brand” category, while Mesjed Aïssa Confection (MACO) was honored in the “Influential Personalities” category.
The ceremony, presided over by Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy Fatma Thabet Chiboub, also paid tribute to key pioneers of Tunisia’s textile industry, including Abdelaziz Dahmani, Béchir Saïdani, Anis Saïdani, and Helmi Kâali.
The TEX AWARDS competition aims to highlight companies and success stories that inspire young entrepreneurs, promote innovation, and strengthen Tunisia’s position in global textile value chains.
According to the Ministry of Industry, Tunisia’s textile and clothing sector comprises 1,365 companies, employs over 160,000 workers, and includes 200 integrated export-oriented firms. Sector exports are expected to exceed 9 billion dinars by the end of the year.
