Spanish Textile Machinery Exhibitors Report Strong Results and High Satisfaction at ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025 Spanish textile machinery manufacturers closed ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025 with outstanding results, expressing strong satisfaction with the visitor quality, business engagement, and regional opportunities that the Singapore edition has unlocked.
In an exclusive interview with Kohan Textile Journal, Alejandro Gallego Alcaide, Director of International Business at AMEC, highlighted the exceptional performance of Spanish exhibitors and the strategic importance of the event.
“We had a high number of visitors and very strong business meetings,” Gallego said. “What impressed us most was the quality of decision-makers. Our companies met existing customers — and more importantly — new clients from regions that are normally difficult to reach.” According to Gallego, the layout of Singapore EXPO contributed significantly to this success. “The venue made it easy for visitors to navigate all halls. Many companies told us they met with every customer they planned to see.”
✳️ Strategic Access to New Markets One of the most valuable outcomes for Spanish manufacturers was the opportunity to connect with textile producers from Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East — regions that may find it challenging to participate in ITMA Europe or ITMA Shanghai. “This edition gave us direct access to decision-makers from fast-growing markets. For many manufacturers, Singapore opened the door to new collaborations.”
✳️ Spanish Technology Across the Entire Textile Value Chain This year, 15 Spanish companies exhibited in Singapore, representing the full spectrum of textile machinery and Industry 4.0 technologies, including: Weaving & Jacquard (reeds, jacquard systems, braiding machinery) Nonwovens & Recycling (post-consumer and pre-consumer fiber processing technologies) Spinning, Twisting & Knitting Garment Finishing (laser finishing systems reducing water usage) Dyeing, Finishing, and Digital Factory Software “Spain may not be the biggest in machine volume, but our strength is technology combined with commitment and customer care,” Gallego noted. Gallego expressed optimism for the future: “We hope the conversations held here will transform into concrete partnerships.
The momentum is strong.” About AMEC: AMEC promotes Spanish industrial companies internationally. Its textile machinery division represents innovative manufacturers known for technology, flexibility, and strong customer relationships across the global textile industry.
