Saurer Group to Present Innovative Solutions at 37th International Cotton Conference Bremen

Saurer Group will give a presentation at the 37th International Cotton Conference Bremen which takes place from 20-22 March 2024 in Bremen, Germany.

During the session “Focus on Textile Recycling and Circular Economy” March 22nd our expert Silke Huertos López will speak about the possibilities of spinning very challenging fibers into high quality yarns and how to increase sustainability.

The textile industry has an important role to play in supporting efforts to stop climate change and we can all be part of the solution. For yarn manufacturers, this means rethinking their business models as yarns of the future will have to include recycled fibres. While recycled fibre has a long history in spinning mills, today’s ultra-short fibres are pushing machines to their limits. This “recycling extreme” is the new challenge for the textile industry and Saurer offers its customers a patented performance kit for processing these ultra-short fibres.

Traditionally, spinning mechanical recycled fibres is dominated by rotor spinning due to its advantages in processing short fibres. However, sustainable fibres are also becoming increasingly important for ring and air spinning. Saurer is a key enabler of this transformation, offering a complete portfolio of machines for the production of sustainable yarns.
