New Sourcing Opportunities at Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris 2025

At Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris 2025, one of Europe’s most influential textile trade fairs, industry professionals from around the world will gather to discover the latest trends, innovations, and sourcing opportunities in textiles and apparel. With over 1,200 exhibitors from 32 countries, the event serves as a global hub for manufacturers, buyers, and designers seeking high-quality sourcing solutions.

We had the opportunity to speak with Cassandra Galli, Press & Communication Manager at Messe Frankfurt France, about what makes this edition unique, how the show is evolving to meet market demands, and the growing importance of sustainability and new sourcing destinations. She also shares insights on the Made in Africa initiative, the impact of supply chain diversification, and how both first-time visitors and experienced attendees can maximize their experience at Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris.

Read on to discover what to expect from this highly anticipated event and how it continues to shape the future of global textile sourcing.

Q: Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris is one of the most influential textile trade shows in Europe. What makes the February 2025 edition unique compared to previous years?

Indeed, Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris is the biggest European platform for textile and garment sourcing. The Feb. 2025 edition is a return the Paris Le Bourget Exhibition centre after 2 years and the Olympic Games. We have decided to review the structure of the offer, placing the manufacturers in the most recent halls of the venue and creating synergies between textile and garment producers. The Trends and services have been regrouped at the end of the show in another hall to separate the « work » and « relax » environments.

Q: With over 1,200 exhibitors from 25 countries, how do you ensure a diverse and high-quality selection for buyers?

To be exact we will have 32 countries exhibiting at the show as we have many near sourcing countries going through the presence of our partner Foursource.

We try to have a balance of products displayed in order to target the whole industry but we, as a sourcing plateform, are a reflect of the market. Hence, you will find most common sourcing destination (China, India, Korea, Turley,…) and we try to develop other alternatives with emerging countries such as Argentina, Benin, Ethiopia, Malaysia and more.

Q: Sustainability is a major focus of the show, with initiatives like the Texpertise Econogy Hub and Econogy Tours. Can you elaborate on these programs and their impact on sustainable sourcing?

Sustainability is key in today’s debate, especially in the Fashion industry. The Econogy Finder is one of a number of initiatives highlighting manufacturers who meet sustainability criteria, in particular through certification.

Depending on the edition, it brings together around 100 companies, and we hope to attract even more. We organise some Econogy Tours during the show to help the buyers decypher and meet a part of this offer.

We also have specific conferences and round tables tackling these topics to enlighten our stakeholders.

Q: The Made in Africa space is a new highlight this year. How do you see Africa’s role growing in the global textile supply chain?

Indeed, as mentioned before, we have more and more sourcing initiatives from the African continent, outside North Africa, with Ethiopia, Benin, Ghana, Togo. Some major European companies are already purchasing from these countries. Though the industrial facilities are not as numerous as in the Asian heavy wights, they are a good alternative for a shorter sourcing.

Investments are being made, with the support of institutions such as GIZ or Arise, and Africa has clearly a role to play in the supply for the European market in the years to come.

Q: The exhibition features major sourcing countries like China, Turkey, India, and Korea, but also emerging markets such as Vietnam, Malaysia, and Ethiopia. Which new sourcing regions are gaining traction, and why?

The main sourcing destinations that you have quoted of course attract the most of the buyers and designers because they have the experience, capacity and know-how to export. However, it is sometimes interesing to compare with other less famous sourcing destination in terms of pricing and conditions which can be quite competitive for certain products.

Q: What advice would you give to first-time visitors and exhibitors looking to maximize their experience at Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris?

We have a « red thread » symbolised on the floor of the venue allowing visitors to have a quick visit of the show and to pass through all main points of interest:« Initiatives area » at the entry of Hall 4, exhibitor booths, Trend forum & services, etc…
