Jeanologia brings its AI “Billy” to Kingpins Amsterdam and redefines vintage denim with its “Future Vintage” vision

  • “Billy” turns any image into a production-ready laser design in just minutes, directly connecting inspiration and execution.
  • With the ‘Future Vintage’ collection, Jeanologia brings the authenticity of vintage denim into a digital, precise and eco-efficient workflow.

Jeanologia arrives at Kingpins Amsterdam with “Billy” as the main highlight, its AI applied to design that is transforming the way denim is created. In this edition, the company places the product at the center, showing how to capture the essence of vintage and translate it directly into a garment.

More than just a tool, “Billy” introduces a shift in the creative process, connecting real inspiration with production instantly, enabling the design of authentic denim through this innovation.

From real vintage to production ready design

“Billy” is an AI developed to extract laser designs from garment images, accurately capturing the effects of the passage of time and transforming them into production ready designs in just minutes.

“With Billy, we move from interpreting vintage denim to designing it directly for production, connecting inspiration and execution in a single process,” says Fernando Cardona, head of Brainbox at Jeanologia.

What traditionally required hours of technical work and multiple manual adjustments now becomes a direct, precise and reproducible process. Designers work from inspiration, from authentic vintage, maintaining its natural look and character, while removing the complexity of the process.

This design is executed using Jeanologia’s laser technology, ensuring fidelity in the final result, with no need for manual retouching and consistent quality from the very first garment.

During Kingpins, visitors will be able to see Billy in action through live demonstrations, where an image is transformed into a production ready laser design in just minutes, connecting creativity and production in a single workflow.

Designing the past with the technology of the future

This logic takes shape in ‘Future Vintage’, the collection that Jeanologia presents at the show as a new way of understanding denim. The proposal is a tribute to vintage, its authenticity, details and the marks that make each garment unique, combined with a new way of working, digital, precise and efficient.

The collection combines “Billy”, laser technology and the ATMOS process with G2 ozone technology to create garments with an authentic look, eliminating manual processes, reducing variability and minimizing environmental impact. The result is denim that maintains its essence, but produced in an efficient and sustainable way.

Inspired by decades of study of vintage denim and iconic pieces from Jeanologia’s archive, “Billy “translates this knowledge into intelligence applied to design. Every mark, every fade and every detail that once belonged only to the passage of time can now be analyzed, understood and reproduced with precision. The process moves from reinterpretation to a direct transfer of heritage into the final product.

New forms of expression in denim

Jeanologia also presents the collection ‘From Essentials to Specials’, developed together with Sartex, which explores finishing as a design language. Through digital printing and laser technology, garments evolve from cleaner proposals to more complex and expressive finishes, where fabric treatment becomes the central element of design.

Beyond the product, a vision for the industry

Jeanologia’s participation at Kingpins is completed with the intervention of Enrique Silla, CEO of the company, in the panel “Denim Talk – Artificial Intelligence: From Cotton to Culture”, where he will share his vision on the role of AI across the entire denim value chain and how technologies like “Billy” are redefining the relationship between creativity, production and sustainability.

With “Billy” at the center and ‘Future Vintage’ as its product expression, Jeanologia presents at Kingpins Amsterdam a new way of designing denim. A way in which technology enhances creativity and AI allows the essence of the past to be transferred into the future with precision, consistency and lower impact.
