Bangladesh buyers ’ delegation in ITMA 2019

Bangladesh buyers delegation in ITMA 2019 : : Despite a number of odds and difficulties in the visa process, a large number of Bangladeshi delegations have hit ITMA hard. Bangladesh being one of the largest textiles and apparel manufacturers in the world has been one of the leaders in buying European machinery. Importance of the visitors of the country has been ever repeated by a number of ITMA visitors. Like last editions of ITMA,  Textile magazine once again organized The Bangladesh VIP buyers’ delegation at ITMA 2019.

On 22nd June ITMA organizers put up a grand reception for the delegation. The delegation has been led by Engr. Shafiqur Rahman, President of Institute of Textile Engineers and Technologists (ITET) and participated by number of eminent industry owners and professionals from Bangladesh.

Daphne Poon, Director of ITMA Services Pte Ltd. received and welcomed the delegation. She explained what ITMA 2019 is offering and how it can help Bangladeshi buyers.

Engr. Shafiqur Rahman congratulated ITMA for yet another great show to present all the latest developments and innovation. He expressed optimism that the exhibition will be a great learning place and a way forward to transform Bangladesh Textile and Apparel industry.

He stressed the Visa difficulties issues and hoped that in future the embassies will acknowledge Bangladesh as a buyer of European machinery and will make the Visa process easier.

The delegation was also participated by successful entrepreneur Engr. Abdus Sobhan, CIP, Managing Director of Aukotex Group.

Engr. Sobhan told that Textile Today can organize an ITMA review session in Dhaka after going back to showcase the latest developments to the Bangladesh professionals and owners who could not make it to Barcelona, Spain.

Engr. Shafiqur Rahman told that ITET and Textile Today may organize the review and invite the organizing embassies to make Bangladesh’s position much stronger in future ITMA events.

He also told that if the visitors from Bangladesh submit the key learning to Textile Today and key issues from those is published and presented in the ITMA review seminar then all the learning will be harmonized.

Daphne Poon and Engr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman thanks and congratulated Textile Today for a successful organization of the delegation and helping so many buyers to bring in ITMA.

All have been invited to participate in next ITMA in 2023 in Milan, Italy.

The reception was held in ITMA Club Lounge at Fira de Barcelona, Grand Via at the sideline of the ITMA 2019 exhibition.
