Italian Textile Machinery Industry Faces Challenges in Early 2024

The Italian textile machinery industry has encountered a challenging start to 2024, with a notable decline in exports during the first quarter. According to recent reports, exports have decreased by 14% compared to the same period in 2023, totaling 387 million euros.

China and Turkey remain the primary destinations for Italian textile machinery, underscoring the industry’s ongoing reliance on these key markets. Despite the overall downturn, there has been a significant development in Egypt, which has emerged as the fourth largest market for Italian manufacturers in the first quarter.
