TNC Unveils Fall-Winter 2027/28 Textile Trends

Hyosung TNC has released its Fall-Winter 2027/28 Textile Trend report through its global Fashion Design Center (FDC), highlighting how performance-driven material innovation will shape next-generation apparel design.

The FDC, an interactive fashion studio operating across the U.S., Europe and Asia, analyzes progressive brands and evolving consumer behavior to anticipate emerging market shifts. For FW 27/28, the report identifies three macro trends expected to influence global fashion strategies: Corps-Core, Quiet Consumption and Circular Fashion.

Corps-Core: Tailoring Meets Performance

The Corps-Core trend reflects a boundaryless lifestyle in which work, leisure and light outdoor activities seamlessly merge. Consumers are increasingly seeking garments that transition from office environments to after-hours social settings and outdoor mobility.

For FW 27/28, Corps-Core evolves traditional office tailoring into versatile designs that combine clean aesthetics with functional performance attributes, supporting everyday movement and durability.

Quiet Consumption: Value Over Excess

In response to inflationary pressures and economic uncertainty, consumers are shifting toward value-driven purchasing decisions. The trend, termed Quiet Consumption, signals a preference for affordability and practicality over status-based spending.

Shoppers are gravitating toward resale platforms, discount retailers and lower-cost online brands, prioritizing trend-forward looks at accessible price points rather than luxury-driven consumption.

Circular Fashion: Closing the Loop

Sustainability remains central to the industry’s long-term evolution. Circular Fashion promotes closed-loop systems that eliminate waste, extend garment lifecycles through reuse and repair, and recycle materials into new products.

As environmental awareness intensifies, brands are expanding collections built around recycled fibers and circular production models to meet consumer expectations.

Four Key Apparel Themes

Based on these macro shifts, Hyosung’s FDC outlines four apparel themes for FW 27/28:

  • Winter Essential – Functional core winter activewear
  • Office Ready Tech – Performance-driven daily office wear
  • Relaxed Outdoor – Comfort-focused active apparel
  • All-Round Recovery – Versatile single-fabric solutions for intimates

These themes highlight Hyosung’s CREORA® multi-functional and certified sustainable regen™ brands of spandex, nylon and polyester yarns, designed to support both performance and sustainability objectives.

Further insights will be shared through a weekly Trend Byte series on the Hyosung Performance Textiles blog starting February 23, 2026. The FW 27/28 Textile Trends will also be presented at Performance Days Munich on March 18–19 and Functional Fabric Fair in Portland, Oregon, April 7–9, 2026.
