The international home textile sector is preparing for one of its most important annual gatherings as HOMETEX 2026 returns to Istanbul. The exhibition will take place from May 19 to 22, 2026, at the Istanbul Expo Center, bringing together manufacturers, buyers, designers, and industry professionals from around the world.
Organized by the Turkish Home Textile Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (TETSİAD) in partnership with KFA Fairs, HOMETEX has established itself as one of the leading global platforms dedicated to home textile innovation, trade, and networking.
A Global Platform for Home Textile Innovation
HOMETEX continues to play a key role in connecting international suppliers with global buyers. The exhibition will showcase a wide range of home textile products, including bed linens, towels, curtains, upholstery fabrics, decorative textiles, and interior textile solutions.
Exhibitors will introduce new materials, design concepts, and production innovations that reflect the evolving demands of consumers and interior design trends worldwide.
Sustainability, digital production technologies, and premium design concepts are expected to be among the major themes highlighted during the exhibition.
Strengthening Turkey’s Position in the Global Home Textile Market
Turkey remains one of the most important producers and exporters of home textile products globally. With its strong manufacturing base, advanced textile technology, and strategic geographic location connecting Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, the country continues to play a vital role in the global textile supply chain.
Events like HOMETEX reinforce Turkey’s leadership in the sector by creating opportunities for exporters to reach international markets and build long-term business partnerships.
Business Opportunities and International Networking
Beyond product displays, HOMETEX serves as an important meeting point where industry professionals can develop new partnerships and explore emerging market opportunities. Thousands of buyers from different regions are expected to attend the exhibition, creating a dynamic environment for trade and collaboration.

As the countdown to May begins, preparations for the exhibition are accelerating, with companies eager to present their latest collections and innovations to the global market.
HOMETEX 2026 is set to once again position Istanbul at the center of the international home textile industry.
Editor’s Assessment :
However, HOMETEX 2026 may face a significant challenge this year: a potential decline in visitors from the Middle East region. The ongoing geopolitical tensions and war in the Middle East have already caused disruptions in international travel, including flight cancellations and increased travel risks across several countries in the region.
Another important factor should not be overlooked. Iran has historically been one of the largest sources of international visitors to textile exhibitions in Turkey. If the current conflict involving Iran continues in the coming months, it could significantly reduce the number of Iranian buyers and industry professionals attending the exhibition.
Given the strong commercial ties between Iranian textile traders and Turkish manufacturers, any prolonged instability may directly affect visitor turnout and business activity at the show.
Nevertheless, the industry remains hopeful that tensions in the region will ease in the near future and that travel conditions will return to normal before the exhibition begins.
If stability is restored, HOMETEX 2026 is still expected to remain one of the most important meeting points for the global home textile industry.
